Breast Cancer and Friendship – Episode 9

Posted by victoria on 21 March 2022

When you’re diagnosed with breast cancer, your friends will play a big part in how you deal with the treatment and emotions that follow. It could be a voice at the end of a phone in the middle of the night or a ready-made meal hand-delivered to your door, but the strength and support of your mates will mean a lot. But of course, some friends don’t know what to say and go quiet.

In this episode, Victoria speaks to women -and their friends -as they share stories of how their lives changed- but their friends’ love didn’t. They also talk about the friends who couldn’t cope.

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone.  Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House.  We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help.
