Breast cancer and my head – episode 05

Posted by victoria on 20 September 2021

What does having breast cancer mean for your mental health? In this episode, Victoria Derbyshire is with three women- Shevelle, Carly and Saskia who speak frankly about the personal and psychological challenges that followed their diagnosis. Some women say they have emerged from their cancer “journey” feeling mentally stronger, while others found they needed as much support for what was going on in their heads as they did for their bodies. Brought to you by the Future Dreams breast cancer charity, “And Then Came Breast Cancer” is for everyone whose lives have been touched by the disease. You can contact us at podcast@futuredreams.org.uk for help and advice and Victoria is @VicDerbyshire on Twitter and Instagram. If you have been touched by breast cancer – Future Dreams is here to help.

Donate to those touched by BREAST cancer

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone.  Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House.  We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help.
