Dr Fharat Raja

Dr Fharat Raja is a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in breast cancer and acute oncology. She holds positions at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, and North Middlesex University Hospital, where she also serves as Clinical Lead for Acute Oncology. Dr Raja has over 25 years of experience and is actively involved in clinical research, serving as Principal Investigator on numerous national and international trials. She previously worked as a Clinical Fellow at the Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Unit and the UCL Cancer Trials Centre. A frequent lecturer and published author, Dr Raja is also a trustee of the breast cancer charity Future Dreams.​

Dr Raja is dedicated to supporting the South Asian community through initiatives like the “Samosa Chaat & Chat” monthly meet-ups at Future Dreams House. These sessions provide a culturally sensitive space for South Asian women affected by breast cancer to share experiences and receive support, addressing specific cultural barriers and fostering community engagement.
