Congratulations to Michelle Chen who completed the London Marathon 2023 last Sunday.

Michelle has been fundraising leading up to the event, and even her Husband Tomas got involved with signing up to his own challenge to support Michelle in reaching her fundraising target. They have been a part of running challenge events, cocktail evenings and more.

Michelle has worked in cancer research her whole life and is proud of her career. She enjoys the reward that comes from working with patients and their loved ones. After being diagnosed with breast cancer aged 40, she is now adjusting to life as the patient.

Michelle ran the marathon less than 9 months from being diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.

Since being touched by breast cancer, she has been supported by Future Dreams and decided to run for the charity. Michelle has raised over £6000 on her fundraising page and all of the Future Dreams Team are so proud.

“The Future Dreams House is a beautiful pink building which has become my refuge in the last 3 months as I rebuild myself physically and mentally.  I’ve met others that face the same challenges and fears as I do. And now as friends, we share the same hopes and dreams for ourselves and our lives.”

Donate to those touched by BREAST cancer

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone.  Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House.  We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help. Please consider partnering with us or making a donation.
