Our flagship event, the Future Dreams Lunch in partnership with Estée Lauder Companies, returned to The Savoy Hotel.
This year’s host, Mel Giedroyc, welcomed guests and brilliant minds and campaigning powerhouses all came together to support the fundraising and were inspired by many emotional speeches. Leading cancer scientist Professor Charlie Swanton from the Francis Crick Institute explained the importance of Future Dreams’ investment in ground-breaking research.
The inaugural Future Dreams Lightning Bolt Award, in honour of Nicky Newman, was presented to Helen Addis (aka @thetittygritty on Instagram) who was awarded for her work in helping others, campaigning for change, and making us laugh. She’s truly embraced Nicky’s #GoGrabLife energy.
We were honoured to be joined by Elizabeth Hurley who has been Global Ambassador for Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign for many years, and highlighted exactly why the campaign is so important. She also co-presented our Future Dreams Humanitarian Award to Dr Liz O’Riordan alongside Leanne Pero, who also champions the work of their breast cancer campaign.
Estée Lauder Companies President of UK & Ireland, Sue Fox spoke honestly about her own breast cancer experience and the support she was able to find through Future Dreams.
Future Dreams is delighted to announce that through sponsorship, the pledge, and fundraising on the night we have raised just over a total of £250,000. This will allow Future Dreams to continue to provide the vital practical, psychological, and emotional support for those touched by breast cancer, including funding the only dedicated breast cancer support centre in the UK and breast cancer research.
We would like to give an enormous thanks the individuals and companies who have supported this year’s lunch. We could not have hosted such a wonderful event without your support and commitment. Thank you to our sponsors Estée Lauder Companies and Aviva.

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone. Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House. We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help. Please consider partnering with us or making a donation.
