Choosing the right bras and prostheses can be challenging, especially after a mastectomy, partial mastectomy, or reconstruction. The Bra Lounge at Future Dreams House, in collaboration with bra specialist Monica Harrington, offers guidance and support for breast cancer bra fittings, post surgery bra fittings, and post mastectomy bra fittings at any stage.
The Bra Lounge at Future Dreams House provides a discreet and private fitting experience. Monica Harrington, a specialist with over 30 years of experience, offers one-hour appointments three Mondays a month. On the fourth Monday, she hosts a Lingerie Styling workshop, facilitating open discussions about bras post-treatment and surgery. Read more about Monica’s experience with people going through breast cancer, here.
Each Bra Lounge appointment is up to an hour long and held in the comfort of the Future Dreams Bra Lounge in London. Together you will explore the options available to you in lingerie, swimwear, and breast prostheses and how to wear them. If we have the item/s in stock, you can purchase them on the day. If not, they can be ordered.
A £10 donation is requested to secure your booking which can be offset against any bra and protheses purchased. There is no obligation to buy any of the suggested pieces.
Thank you so much for coming to Future Dreams. If you’d like to support the work of our charity, we always welcome kind donations of any size. If you’re looking for further breast cancer support, you can find plenty of it at Future Dreams. We offer free support groups, community groups, workshops and classes for both people going through breast cancer, and for supporters / carers close to them. We host a wide range of community group meet-ups at Future Dreams House every month. Each aims to provide a safe and supportive space for those in similar circumstances and with related life experiences and for everyone to benefit from valuable peer-to-peer support.
Future Dreams also provides a range of individual counselling therapies, alongside complementary treatments specifically tailored for those who have been touched by breast cancer. From our specialist bra lounge to oncology massage, acupuncture and reflexology, click here to find out about our treatments for you.
Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone. Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House. We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help. Please consider partnering with us or making a donation.
