Working with the breast cancer community

Our Partners

We partner with the individuals and organisations within the breast cancer community to improve information and services for those touched by breast cancer, increase funding for secondary breast cancer research and widen awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection and diagnosis.

awareness

Let’s join forces to fight breast cancer.  Future Dreams believes no-one should face breast cancer alone and we know we are not alone. We work closely with a number of wonderful organisations and charities working tirelessly to help people deal with the many challenges breast cancer brings but would like to partner with more.  Working together we can achieve far more for those who need us than by working alone.  Can you help us spread the word about Future Dreams and Future Dreams House, the only dedicated breast cancer support centre in the UK offering practical, emotional and psychological support to all those touched by breast cancer?  In return let us know how we can support your work (eg shared communications, use of Future Dreams House, grants, etc).

If you would like to discuss partnering to raise awareness please contact louise@futuredreams.org.uk

SUPPORT

We partner with multiple support groups within the breast cancer community who share our values and aspirations that nobody faces breast cancer alone.  This includes, amongst others, Black Women Rising, Secondary Sisters, Make Seconds Count and The BRCA Project, all of whom use Future Dreams House for their monthly meet ups, offering critical peer-to-peer support.  For a full list of our support partners within the breast cancer community please CLICK HERE.

If your support group or organisation works with those touched by breast cancer and you would like to partner with us please contact lisa@futuredreams.org.uk to discuss further.

RESEARCH

20-30% of women with primary breast cancer will develop metastatic disease (secondary breast cancer) While treatable, it cannot be cured and only 22% of women will survive five years. Secondary breast cancer takes 40,000 lives annually.  We fund research projects into secondary breast cancer to improve understanding, treatment & prognosis.  Current and past partners include: Breast Cancer Now, The Toby Robins Research Centre at the Institute of Cancer Research, Dr William Brackenbury at the University of York and University College Hospital, London.  CLICK HERE for details of our current research projects and partners.

If you would like to discuss partnering in a future research project please contact sam@futuredreams.org.uk

Donate to those touched by BREAST cancer

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone.  Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House.  We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help. Please consider partnering with us or making a donation.
