Future Dreams visits London Centre of podcast sponsors Genesis Care

Genesis Care and Future Dreams

A team from Future Dreams visited the Genesis Care centre at London Cromwell Hospital.

We were shown around the radiotherapy unit, the exercise medicine gym and the integrated cancer care facilities helping with emotional wellbeing run by holistic care experts Penny Brohn charity.

The event was organised by Cromwell centre leader Jane Lynch who explained the journey of a breast cancer patient going through radiotherapy and the importance of exercise and emotional wellbeing.

At the visit, the different types of radiotherapy treatments were explained to us and as were the state of the art machines. In the gym, we were told how exercise really helps the body deal with the physical side effects of breast cancer treatment as well as mental wellbeing.

“The visit to the Cromwell centre was fascinating,” said acting CEO,  Sam Jacobs. “Future Dreams has really appreciated the support we have had from Genesis Care in sponsoring the  newly released third series of our podcast And Then Came Breast Cancer.”

Donate to those touched by BREAST cancer

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone.  Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House.  We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help.
