Emma is a volunteer at Ticking Off Breast Cancer. She wanted to give something back to this cancer support community after the help and advice she found following her HER2 positive breast cancer diagnosis in 2017. She had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction with an implant, 5 months of chemotherapy, lymph node clearance surgery and then 15 rounds of radiotherapy. She also had Herceptin and Zometa. In 2019 she had symmetrising surgery. Emma works as a freelance writer, editor and communications consultant and lives with her husband and her dog Ruby in a village in Hertfordshire.

Donate to those touched by BREAST cancer

Sylvie and Danielle began Future Dreams with just £100 in 2008. They believed nobody should face breast cancer alone.  Their legacy lives on in Future Dreams House.  We couldn’t continue to fund support services for those touched by breast cancer, raise awareness of breast cancer and promote early diagnosis and advance research into secondary breast cancer without your help. Please consider partnering with us or making a donation.
