We believe every individual touched by breast cancer deserves access to vital practical and emotional support throughout their healthcare journey. That’s why we established Future Dreams, a charity dedicated to supporting those touched by breast cancer, funding vital secondary breast cancer research and raising awareness of breast health, early detection and diagnosis.

But we can’t do it alone. We rely on the generosity and support of individuals like you to continue offering these critical services. That’s why we’re asking for your help. We invite you to become a team champion to help us raise the much-needed funds to continue supporting the breast cancer community.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

More than 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, the equivalent of one person every ten minutes, according to Breast Cancer Care.

You can make a tangible difference to the lives of those touched by breast cancer. Your efforts will directly fund support services for individuals navigating their healthcare journey through treatment and surgery. Future Dreams House is the only dedicated breast cancer support centre in the UK and a safe space of solace and empowerment where those touched by breast cancer can find solidarity and the resources they need.

How does it work?

Participating in this great campaign costs nothing. Register your interest in being a Team Champion on the form above, and we will contact you to discuss this in further detail and answer any questions.

As Team Champions, we will set you up with your own fundraising page before the appeal begins. You can, of course, update this page to explain why you are involved.
Starting about two weeks before the 36-hour campaign on 19th/20th May, we will send you different campaign messaging, photos, and video clips to share with your friends and colleagues via your chosen platforms, such as Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, etc. You can choose which messages you wish to share/personalise.
When sharing the messaging, ask your contacts to support Future Dreams by donating to your fundraising page.
Continuously encourage people to donate throughout the 36 hours.
Please encourage them to share your donation link with others who may also want to support Future Dreams.

How does the appeal work?

We are looking for people to volunteer as team champions. These champions will promote the charity among friends, family, and colleagues and mobilise them to raise much-needed funds so that Future Dreams can continue to offer critical support services to all those touched by breast cancer.
What does being a team champion mean?

We would like you to act as a champion for Future Dreams, raising any amount of money, large or small, to support our work and ensure nobody goes through breast cancer alone.
What do I need to do and how much time will it take up?

Once you are registered, we will provide you with all the tools you need to contact your friends and family, and they will be able to make donations through our online fundraising platform—so it’s easy and takes no time at all!
What happens in the run up to the appeal?

We will provide you with all the guidance and tools to help with your fundraising. We will also provide photos for you to use on your social media accounts to announce that you will participate in the campaign. In May, you will receive regular updates via WhatsApp and email ahead of the appeal.
What happens on 19-20 of May?

Lots will be happening at Future Dreams House, virtually and in person. For those that can pop in, a cuppa will be waiting!

We will also be helping promote the appeal in the media to support the fundraising efforts.
Will I get a notification each time someone donates to my page?

Yes, you will receive an email notification.
How do I let my friends, family and colleagues know I'm taking part?
We will provide guidance and support every step of the way. This will include:
- Images to post on your own social media accounts
- Information you can email
- Information you can forward or share on WhatsApp
What if I need help during the campaign weekend?

We’ll use WhatsApp as our main channel of communication with you. We will do this through a special list so you will receive our messages directly. However, it’s not like a group so you won’t be bombarded with other people’s messages or questions.

You’re also more than welcome to call or email, as we will have a team manning the desks for the duration of the appeal. How to contact us will be issued before the campaign weekend.
